We recently had the pleasure of meeting the trustees of The Gilbert Elliot Memorial Trust (The GEM Trust) – David and Robert, where we accepted their generous donation of £2,000. This will be used to help us continue to provide social and cultural experiences for our migrant community.
One such cultural experience took place recently, when we took a group of migrants, who are currently undertaking English lessons with us, to visit the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. There they had an enjoyable and informative guided tour, followed by tea and scones.
Feedback from one of the participants shows just how much they enjoyed the outing and value learning about Scottish history and culture.
"Thank you so much for taking us on such a wonderful trip. We truly enjoyed every moment of it. Visiting the museum was a beautiful experience — we had a great time, learned so much, and got to know more about your rich and impressive history. It was a day full of fun, discovery, and unforgettable memories. We deeply appreciate your kindness and generosity in making this experience possible".
